The trail to the old St John's Fortress in Kotor, a town in the Bay of Kotor on Montenegro's adriatic coast, presents lots of interesting shapes to frame the surrounding mountainside. Though usually you have to pay, in the winter off-season there is no one manning the turnstile, so you can jump right over. I happened to wake up early and walked this trail during sunrise, where I saw no one else.
